About the Site

Welcome to version 3.0 of the site formerly known as '...a little black rain cloud...'! Yes, even though the decor and the name has changed, it's still the same site underneath. You will still find the same content...more or less. I've taken some stuff down, and put a few new things up. But the main pages are still here, never fear.

I created this new layout for the site for a number of reasons. First and foremost is my need for change. I created the original site during a period of time in my life where I was extremely unhappy and depressed. The dark color scheme reflected my mood at the time. But now, things are looking up for me, and I am beginning to feel, if not happy, at least content with my life. The second reason is that many people had mentioned they had difficulties navigating the site, due to the purple font on black background. Thus, the introduction to lighter colors. It isn't all happy and cute though, as evidenced by the semi-angsty Angel Sanctuary image I am using for the background. ^^ Lastly, I was bored. ^_~

You may also have noticed my previous penchant to take song titles/lyrics and use them on different pages. "Little Black Rain Cloud" was taken from the Winnie-the-Pooh song (which I absolutely adored as a kid), and the other pages on the site were named after other songs. I've dropped that 'tradition' on this version of the layout...except for the name of the site itself, which was 'borrowed' from the fabulous song of the same name sung by Westlife.

This site was born from a desire to create something with a free web account I had. I had originally planned to create an archive of my various works of fiction, ranging from fanfiction based on various anime/manga series to original fiction. But a site with only stories gets boring, especially since I don't update regularly, not to mention seeming a bit too much like giving myself a pat on the back while shouting to the world, "Love me, love my work!" I wanted to offer something else...and thus, the music portion of this site was born. Although I can't promise to offer every anime/JPOP song out there, I do have a sizeable collection to share. And while I know most of you stopped here just to download the songs, if you have the time please take a look at the other sections of this site as well.

Now, more than a year and a couple of paid web hosts later, this site has turned out to be more popular than I ever thought was possible. This site gets an average of more than four hundred visitors each day, and I thank each and every one of you for stopping by! If you have the time, stop by my Shoutbox and say hi!

Criticism is the best way to improve my writing, and while I love praise, I also encourage constructive criticism any time. Feedback will be rewarded by much glomping and happiness!

The images on this layout were manipulated in Adobe Photoshop, and the HTML coding was done in Notepad. The phrase "Flying Without Wings" was taken without permission from the Westlife song of the same name. The background image on this site is from the manga, Angel Sanctuary, by Kaori Yuki.
